I have recently introduced this programme because it distresses me to hear about children drowning. So, I'm teaching my domestic worker, Naomi, to swim and she's progressing so well! Once she's completed the programme, Naomi will help me to teach others by translating instructions and giving encouragement. She'll be able to share her personal experience in mastering this tough challenge.

The AquaMaid programme will be once a week for half an hour. The candidates will be taught how to jump into a pool, rescue a child and swim to the side of the pool. There is no limit to the duration of this course -- once the candidate is willing to jump into the pool and able to swim to the edge, a certificate will be awarded.

Please note, however, that this programme does not offer compehensive swimming lessons and stroke training. The aim is to save a life in an emergency. I therefore suggest that a CPR course be done in conjunction with the AquaMaid course. And, as with a CPR course, an annual refresher course is highly recommended.
